Lucas and Zachary

                                               Lucas                                     Zachary
(I hope I got that right)
The boys are growing like crazy!  Those 2 hour feedings are packing on the ounces.  You can stretch it out to 3-4 hours anytime,  boys!

Block 1 of "The Night Before Christmas"

I am just starting a new Block of the Month by Bunny Hill called "The Night Before Christmas" using "Le Petite Ecole" fabric by French General for Moda)
(Check back to an earlier blog for the details)

BLOCK ONE
The bottom part of the block is tan fabric not green.  No matter how many pictures I took it still shows up a greenish colour.)

A closer view of the top section.

Folded Placemats

A new pattern by Deb Richards has arrived in the mail.  This time it is for placemats.  Using larger squares of  fabric it goes together quickly making it a fun project to do.

I used Astor Manor fabric from Moda for my placemat.

I will be teaching a class soon on her technique.  I'm just waiting for the renovations to be done on my classroom.

New Babies...New Quilts!

With two new babies, I had to get busy and make two new baby quilts.  Lindsay wanted the nursery to be blue with chocolate brown so here is what I came up with.  I designed the quilts using polka dots and the minky fleece which is so..so..soft.

This one I call Peek-a-Boo Puppies.

This one I call  Peek-a-Boo Monkeys.

New Projects for the New Year!

New fabric is piling into the shop!  I am definitely running out of room but I love inspiring everyone with new projects to work on.  Unfortunately I don't have the time I think I am going to have to make samples so I am posting some kits I have made up with the new fabric that has come in.

First I have Moroccan Tile made with Stonehenge fabrics from Northcott.

Also, new is "Garden View" using Wild Flowers from Northcott.  I have made the quilt but haven't had it machine quilted yet.

What I really need to be working on are baby quilts.  My daughter,Lindsay and her husband, Jared are expecting identical twin boys in January.  They will be brothers to 17 month old Ethan.   She is going to be busy so  I hope to go up to help her for a few weeks so I had better get organized.  Also, my boss at my dental hygiene job  has sold his dental practice to another dentist so I will have to get used to some changes there.  We have worked together for 26 years.
I will try to post some other new projects that I have been working on real soon.

Snap Happy II Bags

I just finished making 6 of these cute little bags from the Snap Happy II pattern for my daughter to give as gifts to her friends.  Some of them had travelled to Paris, France a few years ago with a school group.  I know that the Eiffel Towers are sideways but this way I could get 6 out of 1 yard of main fabric and 1 yard of contrasting fabric.  Using the metal measuring tapes for the "snap" opening is really cool!
